Ricky Gervais on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert

The Late Show with Stephen Colbert starts its week with one of the biggest names in comedy. Ricky Gervais is on the show Monday July 15.

Like most talented stand-up comedians, Gervais is an excellent late night guest. Whether it was his time with David Letterman or his appearances on The Graham Norton Show he has become must-see television when stopping by any show.

Gervais has already built up some pretty good chemistry with Stephen Colbert. The two have debated the existence of God, talked Lord of the Rings, and covered Gervais’ love of dogs.

The British comedian/writer/actor/producer has a couple different projects he can plug on The Late Show. His Netflix series After Life debuted in March and was just renewed for a second season. The black comedy deals with issues around coping and morality, topics that Colbert often addresses.

Gervais is also in the middle of his stand-up tour “SuperNature.” The shows will be recorded and released as a future Netflix special.

Expect Stephen Colbert to come with a lot of energy on Monday as he returns from a prolonged break. Ricky Gervais is the perfect guest to start the week off as he will no doubt be ready to match Colbert’s excitement and dive head first in to whatever topic is on the table.
