Late night: Five guests to get excited for this week – July 15, 2019

Here are five guests fans should be most excited to see on late night shows this week.
Things in the world of late night television are finally getting back to normal this week. After taking some time off, fan-favorite shows will (mostly) return to their regular schedules.
It wasn’t surprising to see so many shows take the past couple weeks off around the July 4 holiday. Yes, it can be disappointing for fans who want to see hosts like Jimmy Fallon and Stephen Colbert. But it is beneficial for the hosts, as well as the writers, staff, and crew, to take some time away and come back relaxed and recharged.
The Late Show with Stephen Colbert should especially stand out as one to watch this week. Not that it is struggling for ratings by any stretch but when Colbert comes back from a break, he typically comes in hot. Expect him to have a lot to say about some of the major news stories that happened while he was away.
Other shows returning from an extended break include Late Night with Seth Meyers and The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. The Late Late Show with James Corden remains in reruns. Last week, it was Jimmy Kimmel Live! and Conan carrying the load when it came to new episodes. Kimmel is back with new episodes all week while Conan starts new episodes on Wednesday from Comic-Con.
Helping these late night hosts get back in the swing of things will be their celebrity guests. There is no shortage of star power on the schedule so narrowing it down to the top five picks was no easy task. Be sure to let us know who you are most excited to see this week!
