Jimmy Kimmel Live showed fans that Dave Bautista is much more than an action star.

It is not uncommon for the worlds of action and comedy to be combined. But stand-up comedy is something completely different. Still, that is not stopping Davue Bautista according to Jimmy Kimmel Live!.

Bautista is co-starring in the upcoming action/comedy movie Stuber alongside Kumail Nanjiani. Just like Nanjiani is stepping into Bautista’s world of action movies, Bautista could be trying his hand at Nanjiani’s world of stand-up comedy.

You can check out the exclusive trailer for Bautista’s Netflix stand-up special below. If it sounds too far-fetched to be true, just remember that this is coming from Jimmy Kimmel.

Yes, “Dave Bautistia: I’ve Never Done This Before” is a joke. But for fans who are familiar with Dave Bautista’s career, they probably would be more than happy to see him take a crack at it. He has been performing in front of a live audience for years dating back to his wrestling career.

As Drax the Destroyer in the Guardians of the Galaxy movies as well as Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame he has provided some comic relief. That isn’t easy when he shares most of his scenes with Chris Pratt and the Bradley Cooper-voiced character Rocket.

Bautista talked about his love for real-life comedian Nanjiani during his appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live!. He also touched on the end of his wrestling career and his run in with the law while filming Stuber. His segment closed out with a surprise appearance by Nanjiani who came bearing gifts.

Stuber will be released on July 12. The reviews won’t exactly get people running to the theaters to see it. However, plenty of praise is going to the team of Dave Bautista and Kumail Nanjiani. Don’t be surprised to see these two working together again soon, just probably not on a comedy special.
