Kumail Nanjiani on Conan

Close out your late night week on Thursday July 11. That is when comedian and actor Kumail Nanjiani will be on Conan.

Nanjiani has been well known and popular among comedy fans for a long time. But he gained some mainstream recognition with his 2017 movie The Big Sick. Nanjiani starred in the movie and also co-wrote it with his wife Emily Gordon. The movie was nominated for Best Original Screenplay at the Academy Awards.

Nanjiani just lent his voice to the movie Men in Black: International  and is now out promoting his movie Stuber co-starring Dave Bautista of Guardians of the Galaxy fame.

Conan O’Brien and Nanjiani have some pretty good chemistry when sitting down together. That is made easier by Nanjiani’s storytelling abilities and comedic talents. Expect O’Brien to ask about Nanjiani’s experience in an action movie like Stuber opposite an actor like Bautista. With a professional wrestling career and time as an Avenger, Bautista was a natural for Stuber. Nanjiani has had a much different career path leading up to starring in an action movie.

Stuber hits theaters on July 12. Nanjiani should also be considered a candidate to appear on the “Conan O’Brien Needs a Friend” podcast.
