On The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Daisy Ridley proved she has far more talents than just acting.

Daisy Ridley found fame as Rey in Star Wars: The Force Awakens. But after her appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, we get the impression she could have made a career in any number of professions.

There is no better place in late night for a guest to show off a special talent than The Tonight Show. Fallon’s entire goal is to make the celebrity on the couch comfortable and put his or her best foot forward.

One of the best ways a guest can do that and connect with the audience is to show them a different side that what is expected. That’s when having a special skill or hidden talent comes in handy. Look no further than Keira Knightley playing “Despacito” on her teeth as a prime example.

Wednesday night it was Daisy Ridley’s turn. Much like her Star Wars character Rey revealed a secret talent with the Force, Ridley showed Fallon a couple unique skills she can bring to the table.

First up, Ridley shows off her rap skills by reciting Lil’ Kim’s verse from the 2001 hit “Lady Marmalade. The song came out when Ridley was nine years old but clearly it made a pretty big impression on her.

Ridley seems a bit more comfortable rapping in front of a live audience than she does giving away too many details about Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker. She wasn’t on The Tonight Show to promote Episode IX anyway, but Ridley is very aware she will be fielding questions about the three movies for the rest of her career.

Rap bits are very common on The Tonight Show. Fallon may rap on the show more than Tariq Trotter does with The Roots. So Fallon always gets a little extra excited when another unexpected rapper turns up on the show.

Next, Ridley gave Fallon a taste of her bartending past. Prior to being cast in The Force Awakens, Ridley worked at pubs in London. She revisited that past career during the wrap party for her first Star Wars movie. When put on the spot by Fallon, she delivered.

It wasn’t exactly the most exciting or engaging bit in the history of The Tonight Show. But it did hit on the common themes of hidden talents and alcohol that Fallon has established during his tenure. Last time Ridley was on the show, the two played a Star Wars themed game of flip cup.

Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker is coming in Dec. 2019. Daisy Ridley and the rest of her costars will be all over late night leading up to the release. That should give her a little more time to come up with another special talent to put on display.
