Another interesting week in Washington D.C. has given Real Time with Bill Maher a lot to talk about.

Things look to be heating up in politics both in the U.S. and abroad. There are multiple stories dominating the headlines that would typically be major events on their own. Added up, it means that there is a lot to talk about for a show like Real Time with Bill Maher.

President Donald Trump officially launched is reelection campaign for 2020. Late night hosts like Stephen Colbert and Jimmy Kimmel had a lot of fun with the event at the president’s expense. Tensions with Iran are also picking up after it was reported Iran shot an American drone out of the sky. Also, Democratic candidate for president Joe Biden found himself in hot water for comments he made about segregationist senators.

So we have President Trump making a speech, a foreign relations issue, and a politician saying something controversial. It sounds like the perfect setup for a new episode of Real Time with Bill Maher right?

There will be a new episode of Real Time tonight to hopefully address these topics and more. Here is a quick rundown of the show’s guests for June 21.

The top-of-show interview will be with historian Allan Litchman. He specializes in American political history and in 2017 published the book The Case for Impeachment explaining the path to impeaching President Trump.

Litchman also developed a system for predicting presidential elections. He recently suggested that Trump could win again in 2020 unless the Democrats change their strategy.

Science and political columnist Debra Soh is the mid-show interview. She has written several essays on topics related to sex including homosexuality, gender identity, and transgender rights.

The panel will feature journalist Thom Hartmann, political consultant Liz Mair and columnist Dan Savage. All have been on Real Time before which typically leads to a better, more engaged discussion as each panel member knows what to expect.
