Saturday Night Live announced plans to get more sketches from the show’s history online.

Saturday Night Live fans are still adjusting to the end of season 44. It’s been a couple weeks since the show closed up for the summer. But an announcement from SNL reveals that the next few months won’t be all bad for fans looking for laughs.

The season 44 finale aired back in May and brought to an end an up and down season. That sort of roller coaster between highs and lows is standard for Saturday Night Live these days. It is also understandable given the nature of writing, producing, and performing a live sketch comedy show every week.

So while current cast members get rolling on their summer projects, fans may be looking to fill the void by revisiting old Saturday Night Live clips. The show’s YouTube channel is a fantastic resource for finding some classic sketches. However, there are still hundreds of sketches that haven’t been uploaded in high quality–but that is about to change.

The show’s official Twitter page announced that 10 sketches will be added to the Saturday Night Live YouTube channel every Saturday until the premiere of season 45. The first batch will land on June 15 and feature clips from the first two seasons of the show.

There are already a handful of sketches available from 1975-1977 but longtime fans have been eager to see more from the show’s earliest days. No doubt they will be satisfied to see more from Dan Aykroyd, Gilda Radner, Bill Murray and others.

With 10 clips coming ever week, that will be a lot of “new” sketches for fans to rewatch. It will also provide a small way to see how Saturday Night Live has evolved over 44 seasons as cast members and writers come and go, changing the comedic sensibilities of the show.
