Lifelong Spider-Man fan Jimmy Kimmel had his dream come true by starring in a Far From Home scene with Tom Holland.

Spider-Man: Far From Home will be the 23rd movie in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. With that many films, it’s getting harder and harder to find an actor who hasn’t played a role in the universe. That could explain why Jimmy Kimmel was called in to film a scene alongside Tom Holland.

Far From Home hits theaters on July 2. Fans have already be given a couple trailers to help build more hype for Marvel Studios’ Spider-Man sequel. Kimmel is certainly among those fans excited for this movie. It’s no secret that Kimmel is a huge comic book fan, going so far as to turn Jimmy Kimmel Live! into the official late night home of all things superheroes.

So maybe it was that fandom along with the Disney connection that helped Kimmel land a role in Spider-Man: Far From Home. Check out the exclusive clip of the already deleted scene featuring Kimmel and Holland:

Kimmel proves he’s a Marvel fan further with some nice Easter eggs in this bit, including references to Daredevil and Deadpool. Could this be how those two characters are introduced into the Marvel Cinematic Universe?? Kimmel’s scene has a better chance of making it into the final cut of Far From Home than that happening.

This isn’t the first time that Jimmy Kimmel has been “cut” from a blockbuster superhero movie. Fans will recall that something very similar happened when Ben Affleck stopped by Jimmy Kimmel Live! to promote Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice:

Kimmel’s scene with Tom Holland is quite the opposite of what he did with Affleck and Henry Cavil. While it was easy to figure out the secret identities of Superman and Batman, it was a little more challenging for the dry cleaner character to connect the dots between Peter Parker and Spider-Man.

We won’t get to see Jimmy Kimmel in the actual release of Spider-Man: Far From Home when it hits theaters in July. But that doesn’t mean Kimmel won’t keep trying to find his way into a superhero movie one way or another.
