It’s Saturday night but does that mean NBC will be live from New York? Here’s what Saturday Night Live fans need to know.

The start of summer can also mean the end of some fan favorite television shows. Is Saturday Night Live on that list?

It’s crazy to think that season 44 started way back in October. The show started with a bang by bringing in Matt Damon to portray a raging Brett Kavanaugh.

Since then we’ve had holiday episodes, more surprise celebrity cameos, and more than one outburst by President Donald Trump thanks to Saturday Night Live. It has been a crazy season with plenty of ups and downs from week to week.

But every season of SNL comes to an end in May. And for season 44, that end arrived last week when Paul Rudd hosted the season finale.

So there will be no new episode of Saturday Night Live tonight. Fans will have to wait until October for the cast and crew to return to Studio 8H.

Fans can take some comfort in knowing that Cecily Strong and Kenan Thompson will be back. We still need to hear updates on other cast members like Kate McKinnon and Kyle Mooney. It should be an interesting summer as we find out more on who is staying, who is going, and who will be arriving on the show for season 45.
