Saturday Night Live fans are in for a big treat this week when Adam Sandler returns to host. You can get a preview on Thursday May 2 when he stops by Late Night with Seth Meyers.
It is rare that a former cast member as popular and successful as Adam Sandler doesn’t host Saturday Night Live at some point. But it wasn’t that long ago that Sandler said he had no interest in a return to SNL, suggesting that he wouldn’t be very good at live sketch comedy at this point in his life.
But clearly something has changed and fans should be very thankful. Sandler will probably give some explanation as to what happened when he sits down with Seth Meyers. Meyers is the perfect late night host for the job considering his own history with SNL and his love for the history of the show.
While some people miss the “old” Adam Sandler from Billy Madison, Happy Gilmore, and The Waterboy, Sandler is still doing what makes him happy and is finding success. His Netflix special 100% Fresh was hugely popular and got great reviews. Fans should be very excited that a return to Saturday Night Live is finally happening for Sandler.
