Seth Meyers sat down with Leslie Jones to watch the season eight premiere of Game of Thrones.

Nearly 12 million people watched the season eight premiere of Game of Thrones live on HBO. Adding in who streamed the show or watched after Sunday night and the total exceeds 17 million. That’s a lot of hardcore, dedicated fans. Among those fans is Saturday Night Live‘s Leslie Jones.

If you are familiar with Leslie Jones then you know that when she is in to something, then she is all in. Look no further than her love of the Olympics that landed her a correspondent position with NBC.

But nothing compares to Game of Thrones when it comes to pop culture phenomenons. With an audience that big, people from all over have become hooked on the show. For some, like Jones, the show is their first foray into “nerdom.” But like a lot of fantasy and sci-fi, Game of Thrones entered the mainstream a long time ago.

Seth Meyers is also a fan of the show. He had the brilliant idea two years ago to introduce “Game of Jones.” The bits featuring Meyers and Jones providing live commentary on a GoT episode became instant hits for Late Night. So with the season eight premiere on Sunday, fans were treated to a new “Game of Jones” on Thursday night’s special episode of Late Night.

Leslie Jones defends Game of Thrones like the Night’s Watch defend the wall. Meyers suggestion that the episode could be a little boring was immediately shot down. And to ensure Meyers didn’t get that notion again, a little levitation was found to be the cure.

Other highlights definitely include Jones’ impression of a dragon, her not-exactly-accurate explanation of the family ties between Jon Snow and Daenerys, and her response if ever she heard the line like the one Euron used on Cersei.

When asked by Meyers what she will do once Game of Thrones is over Jones suggests that she will make her own show and play all the characters. Meyers’ idea that it will be like Eddie Murphy playing the Klumps in Nutty Professor clearly entertains Jones. But as we saw in a Saturday Night Live promo, Jones is already experienced at producing her own version of GoT.
