Saturday Night Live: The best of Emma Stone

Emma Stone returns to host Saturday Night Live this week so we look back at some her best moments on the show.

Saturday Night Live is becoming something of a second home for actress Emma Stone. It’s a home that fans are eager to welcome Stone back to as well.

Stone first hosted Saturday Night Live in 2010 in support of her film Easy A. She then returned in 2011 and 2016. April 13 will mark the fourth time hosting for the 30 year old. That’s an impressive run especially considering Stone’s age but more importantly it is a testament to her talent as a performer.

Everyone was first introduced to stone in 2007’s Superbad. It was clear that she could hold her own in a Seth Rogen/Evan Goldberg-penned comedy. She continued to sharpen her comedic talents in movies like The Rocker, The House Bunny, and Zombieland.

But with such as The Help, Birdman, and The Favourite it became clear that Stone’s talents couldn’t be restricted to just one genre. Her Academy Award win for Best Actress in La La Land certainly cemented that fact.

So it has been a real blessing for Saturday Night Live that Stone has been able to bring her talents to the show again and again. It certainly helps that Stone is a massive fan of the show, even helping out during the 40th anniversary celebration.

Last week’s episode of Saturday Night Live had some uncertainty surrounding it. Game of Thrones star Kit Harington was hosting for the first time and the British actor isn’t known for playing too many humorous roles. But Harington ultimately performed quite well.

This week there should be no unknowns when it comes to Emma Stone as host. These clips provide plenty of evidence why Stone is hosting for the fourth time in nine years. So to get you ready for this Saturday’s show, enjoy the best of Emma Stone on Saturday Night Live.
