9. Ice Cube, Kevin Hart, and Conan Help a Student Driver (2016)

Following the success of their Lyft remote, it was a no-brainer for Conan O’Brien to team up with Ice Cube and Kevin Hart for another piece. Nobody could have realistically expected them to top the Lyft clip but defying expectations is just what Conan does.

This clip, along with the Lyft one, showcases how O’Brien can adapt all in service of the joke. Yes it’s his show but he knows how to share the spotlight and even defer to both Kevin Hart and Ice Cube. Conan teaching his staff member how to drive by himself would have made for a quality clip but bringing Hart and Ice Cube back in to the mix brings it to another level.

There is also an element of “if it isn’t broken, don’t fix it” to this bit. The Lyft piece worked so well because of how Conan played up just how different he is in every possible way from Kevin Hart and Ice Cube. They pick things up where they left off and give fans another memorable remote. Conan could have its own spinoff series with these three. Maybe “Conan in Cars with Kevin and Cube” should be the next Netflix addition.
