Late night legend Conan O’Brien has done some of his best work outside of the studio so we count down his ten best field pieces from the past 25 years.

The comedy career of Conan O’Brien has been well documented. From the Harvard Lampoon to Saturday Night Live to The Simpsons, he accomplished more before the age of 30 than most comedy writers could hope to achieve in a lifetime. Yet when the history of comedy is written, those highlights will be buried in Conan’s chapter behind his immense influence and contributions in late night television.

In 1993 Late Night with Conan O’Brien gave O’Brien the opportunity to go from writer to performer. While the monologues and truly original comedy bits became staples of O’Brien’s late night shows it has also been his incredible wit combined with a willingness to be the joke that has endeared Conan to millions of fans.

No better example exists than his remote pieces. In situations both mundane and bizarre, with regular people both normal and absurd, Conan O’Brien has produced some of the best comedy of the past quarter-century. It is fitting that his remote pieces were phase one of “Conan25,” the online archive that will soon include mastered versions of everything he’s done in late night.

To celebrate the release of “Conan25-The Remotes,” Last Night On presents the top 10 remote pieces of Conan O’Brien’s late night career. Restricting the count to ten seems like a disservice when you realize just how many of these clips exist. So if we missed one or didn’t include your favorite, look for it on the Team Coco website and let us know in the comments. Enjoy!
