March Madness is set to take off today so enjoy these Saturday Night Live sketches to get ready.

As we have seen time and time again, no big moment goes without a take from Saturday Night Live. Politics, holidays, and sports are all fair game when it comes to sketch comedy. So with March Madness truly getting underway today, let’s look at how Saturday Night Live has parodied the tournament

The relationship between sports and Saturday Night Live has been pointed out before here at Last Night On. We looked at how the Red Sox have been portrayed prior to the 2018 Worlds Series and we’ve also looked at some of the best Super Bowl sketches in the show’s history.

Similar to the Super Bowl, March Madness is something that the whole country gets involved with no matter if you’re a fan of college basketball or not. Filling out a bracket is a yearly tradition that has dominated office pools and usually costs a bit of productivity for companies nationwide.

March Madness has also inspired countless other brackets that have nothing to do with basketball or sports at all. Movie characters, fast food, and comedians are just some of the topics you can narrow down to a final four at this time of year. It has also inspired some pretty great comedy from Saturday Night Live. Take a look for yourself:
