Conan O’Brien announces Conan25: The Remotes, the complete collection of remotes
By Matt Moore
You can now see remote pieces from Conan O’Brien spanning his entire 25 year career all in once place.
Conan O’Brien can’t stop giving fans more and more of what they want. A completely re-energized late night show? Check. A chart-topping weekly podcast? You got it. An online archive of his entire late night career? Say no more.
Last year Conan O’Brien and Team Coco announced a number of new projects and plans for the late night legend. Among them was “Conan25,” an online archive of all his late night material from Late Night with Conan O’Brien, The Tonight Show with Conan O’Brien, and Conan.
Highlighting news about “Conan25” was the fact that content from the Late Night days would be digitally remastered, meaning no more relying on grainy YouTube rips to see some classic Conan. It will be welcomed news for O’Brien’s long-time fans as well as younger audiences wanting to see the comedian’s evolution.
Phase one of “Conan25” will be “The Remotes.” Fans will get to see O’Brien when he is at his best. Absurd, silly comedy bits in the studio have been a calling card since 1993. But the remote pieces have made O’Brien into a comedy icon. Now it will be easier than ever to see the proof.
Imagine being able to go down the rabbit hole of Conan in Ireland then playing old time baseball. Watching Triumph the Insult Comic Dog at the Star Wars premiere, Andy Richter’s best remotes, and “Conan Without Borders.” All in one convenient location. Conan truly has spoiled us.
“Conan25-The Remotes” will go live on TeamCoco.com starting March 25. Phase two will come after that and focus on comedy bits featuring some of the most beloved characters in Conan’s late night career.
You can of course continue to catch Conan weeknights on TBS. Be sure to listen to the “Conan O’Brien Needs a Friend” and “Inside Conan” podcasts that get released weekly. Like I said, Conan O’Brien can’t stop and thank God for that.
