Jake Tapper on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert

The Late Show with Stephen Colbert gets back to work on Monday, Feb. 18 by welcoming back a friend of the show. CNN anchor Jake Tapper will be the first guest of the week.

It wouldn’t be a stretch to assume that if you are a fan of Stephen Colbert then chances are you’re familiar with Jake Tapper. Tapper has become one of the most trusted anchors on cable news during his rise with CNN. And CNN viewers tend to have the same political outlook and attitudes that Colbert has made very clear during his time hosting The Late Show.

Tapper has become a popular guest on the show due in part to his analysis of the headlines but also for his sense of humor. If you follow Tapper on Twitter then you know that he can mix in sincere responses to the news with a level of sarcasm and wit not found among too many other news anchors.

The Late Show with Stephen Colbert has become a go-to source for not only political humor but political news for some. Colbert’s monologues usually provide some background info before launching into jokes. But having Tapper on following President Trump’s national emergency declaration will help add to the discussion and provide an even more informed approach to the story.
