The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon debuted its latest game that had Kendall Jenner chewing on some interesting items.

Games with celebrities have become a big part of late night. James Corden and Jimmy Kimmel have a few that they turn to but nobody does more than Jimmy Fallon. Last night, he once again squared off against model Kendall Jenner in a brand new game.

Jenner has proven to be a very good sport as a late night guest. She has played “Spill Your Guts or Fill Your Guts” with James Corden. On The Tonight Show she has played “Pup Quiz” and charades in the past.

But nothing could have prepared her for the game Fallon had ready on Thursday night. Maybe the host is running out of ideas and that’s why he looked to Japan for inspiration. A game show there asks contestants to guess what items are made of chocolate and what are not. It sounds bizarre and hilarious at the same time which explains why The Tonight Show decided to bring it to American late night.

It’s hard not to smile as you watch Jenner and Fallon hesitate to lean in a bite such random things as a Croc or Mr. Potato Head. But if you watch a clip from the Japanese version, they you can see how the two may have got off a bit easy. There are a lot of stranger items the Tonight Show staff could have sent out there than say, a telephone.

An underrated part of the Tonight Show clip is the cuts to The Roots for reaction shots. At first it seemed like the director was just responding to what the band thought of the game. But if you’ve seen game shows in Japan then you should get the references. Credit to the Tonight Show for doing its homework and looking to add a little bit of extra authenticity.

Congratulations to Kendall Jenner on another Tonight Show game victory. It seems like her strategy of waiting until the last round when points skyrocket is working out in her favor. And it’s great to see Jimmy Fallon looking for new fun games to play rather than reusing old ones. Expect to see “Food or Not Food” pop up again.
