Should fans expect to see another all-new episode of Saturday Night Live tonight?

Last week we finally got back to normal when it comes to Saturday Night Live. After a long break the show returned with a new episode. But fans know that this season has been a little unpredictable when it comes to the schedule so there is no guarantee that each week will bring a new episode.

The return from hiatus was hosted by Rachel Brosnahan and featured musical guest Greta Van Fleet. It was a solid episode that was one of the few this season that did lean too heavily on political sketches.

While that was a welcome change for some viewers, a lot of fans know that Saturday Night Live is the first place to turn for a punchline about the latest from Washington, D.C. And it certainly has been a busy month in the nation’s capital as the government shutdown continues to dominate the headlines.

The news yesterday that a temporary resolution to the shutdown had been reach would certainly be a topic for Saturday Night Live to sink its teeth into. So should fans expect to see a new episode from Studio 8H tonight?

The answer is yes. There will be an all-new episode of Saturday Night Live tonight, Jan. 26. It will be hosted by actor James McAvoy and feature rapper Meek Mill as musical guest.

McAvoy will be out promoting his film Glass which seems him revisit his character from the movie Split. The actor showed incredible range in portraying a man with multiple personalities. The ability to do so many voices and characters should come in handy tonight on Saturday Night Live.
