Adam Sandler visited the Conan O’Brien Needs a Friend podcast and revisited his Saturday Night Live days.

Conan O’Brien Needs a Friend continues to roll out one of the most impressive guests lists in podcasts. In less than 10 episodes, Conan O’Brien has interviewed the type of celebrities that other podcasts would be lucky to have after years of being in production. You can now add Adam Sandler to that list.

O’Brien’s interview with Sandler exemplified the best part of the podcast in its short run to this point. Conan O’Brien Needs a Friend is at its best when the audience gets a behind the scenes look at what makes a comedian tick. We’ve heard it before in episodes with Will Ferrell, Bill Burr, and Marc Maron.

These more revealing interviews are a testament to the guests’ admiration of O’Brien as well as the late night host’s admiration for their work. Sandler is a prime example of this having been a performer on Saturday Night Live while O’Brien was there as a writer.

From that, we’re treated to stories about the two working at Saturday Night Live with people like Chris Rock and David Spade. O’Brien has a unique perspective on Sandler’s work ethic and has a sense of the inspiration behind the temper that pops up in Sandler’s characters.
