1. Kit Harrington

Game of Thrones has been the biggest thing on television for a few years now. 2019 will be the biggest one yet as the HBO show comes to an end with an eighth and final season. Throughout the series, fans have been rooting for Jon Snow portrayed by actor Kit Harrington.

So the most beloved character on the most popular television series seems like a pretty good choice to host Saturday Night Live. Game of Thrones is scheduled to premiere in April which would give Harrington time to host before the end of season 44.

Only once before as a Game of Thrones actor hosted Saturday Night Live to promote the show. That came in 2016 when Peter Dinklage hosted. While Jason Momoa also made his name on Game of Thrones, he had long since been off the show and was promoting Aquaman when he hosted in Dec. 2018.

Picking exactly which cast member should get the honor of hosting Saturday Night Live to promote the final season is tricky. The cast is huge and filled with a number of talented actors and actresses. So excluding Dinklage, the next logical choice after Harrington would be Emlila Clarke.

Both are worthy to sit on the Iron Throne and so too are both worthy of hosting Saturday Night Live. Clarke seems to be building a steady film career that could lead to an opportunity in the future. So for now, Last Night On is giving the nod to Kit Harrington.
