5. Kristen Bell

It’s surprising that Kristen Bell has never hosted Saturday Night Live before. She has been in the spotlight since 2004 with the television series Veronica Mars. She followed that up with comedy films like Forgetting Sarah MarshallCouples Retreat, and Bad Moms. Bell’s career reached new heights thanks to her role in the animated phenomenon Frozen.

It’s obvious that Bell can hold her own when it comes to comedy as well as performing in front of a live audience. These aren’t necessarily requirements for hosting Saturday Night Live but they are the two qualities that contribute most to success in Studio 8H.

2019 is the perfect time for Bell to host Saturday Night Live because of her current series The Good Place. It helps that The Good Place also airs on NBC but more importantly, it is one of the funniest shows on television. Season three will pick back up on Jan. 10, giving Bell plenty of chances to host in promotion of the show.

It also doesn’t hurt that Frozen 2 will be released in Nov. of 2019. Season 44 of Saturday Night Live will wrap up well before that but it wouldn’t be the first time a host was pumping up a far off project.
