The latest episode of the Conan O’Brien Needs a Friend podcast explored Nick Offerman and Megan Mullally connection with the wild.

Conan O’Brien has put out a handful of podcast episodes to this point. Guests like Will Ferrell, Kristen Bell, and Bill Burr have all been featured on Conan O’Brien Needs a Friend. So far it has been difficult to know what exactly to expect as far as topics covered and the tone of each episode. Things were certainly no different with guests Nick Offerman and Megan Mullally.

It certainly isn’t meant as a criticism that O’Brien’s podcast is so unpredictable. It’s not all that surprising given his approach to comedy and habit of lacing any moment of sincerity with his own sense of humor. That has been the case whether talking about self-care with Bell or the idea of manliness with Dax Shepard.

Perhaps it is Conan O’Brien’s existing friendship with Offerman and Mullally that made it so easy for things to get a little strange on this week’s episode. The pair, who have been married since 2003, have made several appearances on Late Night with Conan O’Brien and Conan.  And as O’Brien mentions early in the podcast, they are friends with he and his wife Liza.

Still, O’Brien makes a point to differentiate he and his wife from Offerman and Mullally in a major way. It didn’t take long for the podcast to turn to the actor and actress’ sex life and just how…animalistic the two are.

Anyone shocked that Offerman and Mullally reached the level of detail that they did with O’Brien probably aren’t too familiar with the pair. This is the same couple who went on a nationwide tour called

“Summer of 69: No Apostrophe.”

They now have a memoir further detailing their relationship titled “

The Greatest Love Story Ever Told.”
