Is Real Time with Bill Maher new tonight, Dec. 14?

Should we expect a new episode of Real Time with Bill Maher tonight on HBO?

Things just can’t seem to slow down when it comes to President Donald Trump’s White House. Or at least get to a point where there are only positive things to talk about. So as scrutiny of the president increases and the number of people loyal to him decreases, it feels like another prime week for Real Time with Bill Maher.

Let’s go over just a few of the topics that Maher would cover from this week. Michael Cohen sentenced to prison. The guilty plea of Russian spy Maria Butina. Trump’s struggle to find a new chief of staff. Trump’s inaugural committee is under investigation.

All of these are worthy of their own episode. All of them would make for fantastic topics to discuss with an expert guest or a diverse panel typically found on Real Time. It certainly feels like this has been the case the past few weeks.

Yet just like the last few weeks, there will be no new episode of Real Time with Bill Maher on tonight. The winter hiatus that began in mid-November will continue. The show is expected to return sometime in the middle of January 2019.

It certainly has been hard for Real Time fans to get through the past month or so without hearing from Maher. Of course you can follow him on Twitter (@BillMaher) to get his thoughts on the headlines. But it’s not quite the same as tuning in and seeing his monologue, interviews, and panel discussions. Just one more thing to look forward to in 2019!
