President Trump’s message to America on The Tonight Show helps kick off the Halloween holiday.

If the vampire craze was dying down, then Jimmy Fallon may have just killed it. Because after last night’s Tonight Show bit featuring a Dracula-esque President Trump we may never be able to look at vampires the same way again. Sorry Twilight fans.

Jimmy Fallon has been the only late night host to take his Trump impression to the extreme. Others like Stephen Colbert and Seth Meyers will do the voice. Conan O’Brien has his Trump impression from the days of The Apprentice. But only Fallon is willing to put on the wig and fake tan.

His may not be on the Emmy-nominated level of Alec Baldwin’s on Saturday Night Live  but Fallon more than holds his own as President Trump. And when half the country already considers Trump as president to be their worse nightmare, Fallon offered up some more scares last night:

Viewers of The Tonight Show know that Fallon doesn’t shy way from making the obvious joke or using a pun. He does this right off the bat with a play on Ivanka Trump’s name. Then later there is the joke about the size of Trump’s inauguration crowd. But then he can follow it up with something clever, like the satirical “happy” Halloween greeting. The “War on Christmas” is right around the corner.

Credit to Fallon and his writers for using Halloween to hit on as many jokes as they did. Mummy costumes let them replay the clip of Trump with toilet paper on his shoe. Candy lets them remind us that Trump is in fact not the healthiest president of all time. Smarties was too easy but it worked.

It was recently announced that The Tonight Show had hired Jim Bell as its new executive producer. Bell was brought on to help Fallon get his ratings lead back over The Late Show with Stephen Colbert. Part of the expected strategy is more focus on politics and Trump, which has helped Colbert. Fallon seems ready to do it in his own way.
