Is Saturday Night Live new for tonight Oct. 27?

After taking last week off, is Saturday Night Live back with an all new episode for Oct. 27?
This season of Saturday Night Live has been up and down. There was a strong start in the season premiere highlighted by Matt Damon’s performance as Brett Kavanaugh, another solid hosting job by Adam Driver, and Kanye West being Kanye West.
The second week was led by host Awkwafina and was met with a mixed bag of reviews. Nothing stood out yet it was obvious that the rapper/actress was game to play along with anything the SNL writers threw her way.
Episode three featured the return of former writer and Weekend Update anchor Seth Meyers. Again, it wasn’t necessarily a stand out performance by Meyers or the rest of the cast. However, it did give us the first appearance by Alec Baldwin as President Donald Trump.
So following those three weeks came the first Saturday off for the show. There was no new episode for Oct. 20. Unfortunately, that will continue this week as well. Saturday Night Live will not be new this week.
When will Saturday Night Live return with a new episode? For that, audiences will have to wait until Nov. 3. The show took to Instagram recently to announce that actor Jonah Hill will be hosting that night. It will mark the fifth time Hill has hosted. The musical guest will be Maggie Rogers.

It is somewhat surprising that SNL will not have a new episode ahead of Halloween. It has typically been a popular episode for the show in years past. They struck gold a couple years ago with Tom Hanks as David S. Pumpkins. Instead, expect NBC to air a Halloween special featuring clips of past seasons. Then check back in to Last Night On for a preview of the all new episode on Nov. 3!
