Pete Davidson’s lookalike fail

This clip is only three years old but things have certainly changed a lot since then. For one, Christian Yelich now plays for the Milwaukee Brewers and was just bounced from the playoffs by the Los Angeles Dodgers. But of course the big difference here is with Pete Davidson.

The Saturday Night Live cast member has come a long way since this interview on Late Night With Seth Meyers. The clip is funny for just how poorly the execution of the gag went. The similarity between Davidson and Yelich isn’t that incredible. Then there is the fact that only dedicated SNL fans would be able to pick Davidson out of a lineup in 2015 whereas today, his face is all over thanks to his engagement/break up with Ariana Grande.

It was a simpler time for Davidson that some SNL fans would like to revisit considering how heavily he has been featured through the first three episodes of this season. And the comedian’s baseball skills don’t seem to be that much better than what we saw James Corden demonstrate. At least the interview with Meyers ends with a behind-the-scenes look at one of the more memorable SNL sketches in the past few years.
