Jimmy Kimmel wants Donald Trump to voice the new ALF
By Jeremy Dick
Hearing about the ALF reboot that’s currently in the works. Jimmy Kimmel is suggesting that the president of the United States should voice the puppet.
It seems Jimmy Kimmel may be onto something here…
If you were around in the ’80s, you are no doubt familiar with ALF. The classic series ran for over 100 episodes across four seasons, featuring a lovable, cat-eating puppet referred to as ALF. As with many other film and TV properties from the past, ALF is going through the reboot treatment next, with an all new TV series on the way.
As of now, we don’t know about who will be involved in the cast, but Jimmy Kimmel has some ideas. On Jimmy Kimmel Live, Kimmel told his viewers about the ALF reboot, and offered an interesting idea for the cast. He says none other than Donald Trump should do the voice of ALF, and as absurd as that sounds, it actually kind of works!
To test this idea out, Kimmel had footage edited to use Trump’s voice over a clip of ALF from the original series. In the video, ALF, in a suit, speaks about being the president. Of course, it’s Trump’s voice, but it goes so well with the video that it’s almost kind of creepy. Admittedly, it is very funny to watch, but I still get the feeling that a lot of people would strongly prefer for ALF not to share his voice with the president.
You can watch the clip in the video below!
No word on when exactly the ALF reboot will air or who will actually be doing the voice, but stay tuned. As for Kimmel, you can catch him when his talk show airs during the week late at night. Watch Jimmy Kimmel Live when it airs weeknights at 11:35 p.m. EST on ABC!
