With Donald Trump talking about revoking the security clearance for officials who’ve criticized him, Stephen Colbert talks getting closer to a dictatorship.

Is Donald Trump a dictator yet? Well, at the least, he’s at least reached the status of the first syllable of the word.

Last night on The Late Show, host Stephen Colbert kicked off his opening monologue talking about the president in question. As we’re all aware, Trump is very critical of any and everyone who opposes him. That’s evident by how every single news report that makes him look bad in any way is automatically “fake news.” Perhaps he can’t control the media, but now Trump is looking into punishing government officials who have ever criticized him.

As explained by Colbert, Trump is weighing the idea of revoking the security clearance for officials who’ve said bad things about the president. The idea seems to be for the president to surround himself with “yes men” only. “I don’t know if we’ve arrived at dictatorship,” explains Colbert, “but we’ve definitely arrived at’dick.'” Without a doubt, many people out there would agree with that sentiment.

Colbert shows a clip of Rand Paul supporting the idea, arguing those who’ve called the president treasonous shouldn’t have access to American secrets. “So the only people who should have security clearance are people who always agree with the president?” Colbert asks. He then “introduces” the new CIA director: Don Jr. and Eric Trump stacked on top of each other in a trench coat.

If Trump had his way, Colbert would have his show taken off the air as well. Fortunately, that’s not going to happen anytime soon. Watch the show when The Late Show with Stephen Colbert airs every single weeknight at 11:35 p.m. EST on CBS.
