Finn Wolfhard of IT sings with rock band on Jimmy Kimmel Live
By Jeremy Dick
IT and Stranger Things star Finn Wolfhard dropped by Jimmy Kimmel Live to jam with his band Calpurnia, ahead of their official tour which starts soon.
We knew teenage actor Finn Wolfhard could perform on both the big and small screens, but did you know he’s a talented singer as well?
Last night on Jimmy Kimmel Live, Wolfhard stopped by and brought along this band with him. Called Calpurnia, the group features Wolfhard as the lead singer, with Malcolm Craig on drugs, Jack Anderson on bass, and Ayla Tesler-Mabe on lead guitar. Their debut album Scout premiered just last month, so to promote the album, the group performed their song “City Boy” on the late night show.
The group has a sound reminiscent of ’90s rock music, so it’s a bit of a throwback to the ’90s. That’s interesting considering how Stranger Things is a straight throwback to the ’80s. For what it’s worth, Wolfhard did admit that most Calpurnia fans love Stranger Things as well, but, of course, that’s not a big deal to him. Certainly, Wolfhard’s status as an actor will help raise awareness about the group as well.

Additionally, Calpurnia peformed another one of their songs on the show before departing. It provides another sound compared to “City Boy” which gives listeners a better idea of what the group sounds like as a whole. Called “Greyhound,” it’s a pretty catchy tune as well. Of course, we’ll post that video below so you can watch that one too!
Season 3 if Stranger Things is expected to premiere on Netflix in 2019. Wolfhard will also appear in IT: Chapter Two which also has a 2019 release. In the meantime, catch him on tour with Calpurnia.
New episodes of Jimmy Kimmel Live air weeknights at 11:35 p.m. EST on ABC.
