Envious of just how well Donald Trump is to Russia, Stephen Colbert is joking that he wishes his agent would treat him the same way.

Stephen Colbert feels his agent should be taking notes from the president…

Last night on The Late Show, Colbert spoke about what’s been going on lately with Donald Trump. Recently, he had a bit of a tiff with Germany’s Angela Merkel, accusing her of being a Russian captive as Germany gets a 35% of its natural gas from there. Let’s just say his NATO visit wasn’t the most comfortable for the other leaders there.

However, there’s a different tune Trump plays when it comes to Vladimir Putin. As Colbert shows with video footage, Trump talked about the various stops he’d be having on his overseas trip, which includes a private meeting with Putin. Oddly, Trump says that “Putin may be easiest of them all. Who would think?”

“I would think. Everyone would think,” Colbert responds. Indeed, there is something alarming about Trump referring to a private Putin meeting as easy. It’s weird how Trump always seems to be so good to the infamous Russian leader. “I’m not ready to say Trump is a Russian agent,” Colbert mentions, “but I have an agent, and he doesn’t do as much for me as Trump does for Russia.”

Colbert takes it a few steps further to address his agent on camera. He tells his agent he let him down, as the agent never rigged an election for Colbert! “I lost to John Oliver!” Colbert laments, referring to his loss at the Emmys to Oliver’s HBO show. You can watch the segment in the video below.
