Retired host of The Daily Show took over Stephen Colbert’s desk on last night’s Late Show to share his thoughts on Donald Trump’s cruelty.

Once you see Jon Stewart show up, you know things are going to be good!

For many years, Stewart entertained us as the host of Comedy Central’s The Daily Show. Having since retired, Stewart hasn’t exactly gone away, sometimes still appearing on other talk shows. As a former Comedy Central colleague of Stephen Colbert’s, Stewart has shown up on The Late Show many times before, and last night, he took over once again.

Feeling a little Trumped out with all of the talk he’s had to do about Donald Trump lately, Colbert seems to be losing his mind. Suddenly, the familiar face of Stewart pops out from underneath his desk, asking if he needs a hand. Of course, Colbert is happy to oblige, passing the desk to Stewart to let the former Daily Show host deliver his own rant against the current president of the United States.

What proceeds is a full take down of the president. Stewart addresses how we’re having difficulty adjusting to the Trump presidency “as it enters its 500th year.” Stewart then laments how the hardest part of all to accept is that no  matter what Trump does, it always comes with an “extra layer of cruelty and dickishness.” Stewart goes off on the president on other issues, including his stance on immigration reform which Stewart says he “really f—ed that up.”
