Samantha Bee will speak on Ivanka Trump remark on Full Frontal
By Jeremy Dick
Samantha Bee has been under a lot of fire after making a vulgar comment about Ivanka Trump, and she will speak on the controversy on her show Full Frontal.
This is going to be a Full Frontal you won’t want to miss…
First, let’s rewind for a second to the start of this story. Last week, Samantha Bee spoke about Ivanka Trump on her late night show, and had some less than flattering remarks. Most controversial of all was the way Bee used the “C-word” to insult Ivanka. Donald Trump himself furiously called for Bee to be fired, with many of his supporters following suit. The argument, they claim, is Bee is no better than Roseanne Barr, who recently lost her show for making racist comments on Twitter.
Although Bee has since apologized (likely to help keep her job), she’s not done speaking about the situation. CNN reports that Bee is going to speak on the controversy this week on Full Frontal. According to the report, Bee and the show’s producers are working on an “in-depth response” to start the show with when it airs on Wednesday evening. It’s not clear exactly what route they’re going to take, but it will definitely be worth watching.
Though her language was explicit, Bee’s goal was to encourage Ivanka to talk to her father about his poor stance on immigration reform. Reason being, Ivanka seems to be the only person Trump listens to. Frustrated in how Ivanka isn’t doing more to help people, Bee stressed her point, culminating in the vulgar remark.

Of course, TBS has removed the clips posted online featuring the comment, and it won’t be aired ever again. It’s fortunate Bee was able to keep her job, however, because although her comment was explicit, it wasn’t racist. That’s the difference between what she said and what Barr said, though Barr’s defenders just can’t seem to see that.
Watch Full Frontal with Samantha Bee when it airs Wednesday night at 10:30 p.m. EST.
