The Royal Wedding is getting a lot of attention from the mainstream media, but Bill Maher let his Real Time viewers know he couldn’t care less about it.

The Royal Wedding is nothing but a bore to Bill Maher

Last night on Real Time, Maher touched on the wedding everyone is talking about during his opening monologue. “I already have my alarm set to know when to start not giving a s–t,” Maher jokes, stressing he couldn’t care any less about the event. Though Maher clearly isn’t the only one who doesn’t care, suggesting Donald Trump will still “continue to royally screw America” after not being invited.

But Maher goes on to burn the Royal Wedding a little more. “Look, I don’t wanna be the wet blanket,” Maher explains. “It’s gonna be great when a B-list actress marries a man who will never be king — in a country that doesn’t even matter, an event so unimportant, even the Russians aren’t fixing it.

While the Royal Wedding is in fact getting tons of attention, there are still many people out there who, like Maher, don’t even want to hear about it. For those of us fitting that bill, it’s nice to know we aren’t alone. You can watch the monologue in full below.

Maher will be off the air next week for a brief hiatus. However, he will be back with more new episodes the following week on June 1, with episodes resuming Fridays at 10 p.m. EST. Bernie Sanders will be joining Maher on the June 1 episode, so you don’t want to miss it!
