The Daily Show host Trevor Noah admits he does not spend any time watching Fox News, and he discourages anyone else from putting themselves through that.

The Daily Show‘s Trevor Noah is no fan of Fox News.

In a new interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Noah spoke about his status as a comedian on late night TV. With many of his colleagues hosting the White House Correspondents Dinner already, the question came up as to whether Noah himself would be interested. To that, he just doesn’t quite know yet, as he was surprised at the backlash Michelle Wolf received for it when she did her set.

“I honestly don’t know. I don’t know,” the Daily Show host laments. To him, it’s important to figure out the purpose of the dinner and what it’s for, and he really doesn’t know now after how that recent dinner went. Noah is obviously a shoe-in to take the honor one day, but he’s going to have to be interested in taking it on first.

Also in the interview, Noah touches on why he doesn’t take aim at Fox News on The Daily Show as much as his predecessor Jon Stewart. Simply put, it’s because he just doesn’t watch it, and his team rarely engages with it. “And, that’s been because, as Trevor, I don’t watch Fox News,” Noah explains. He adds, “I encourage my audience to not watch Fox News. I don’t think you should put yourself through that.” For those who agree with this assessment of the network, Noah couldn’t have put it any better.
