Donald Trump and Sean Hannity are reportedly talking before bed at night, and The Late Show’s Stephen Colbert finds the whole thing amusing.

Is the president growing dependent on a phone call from Sean Hannity before bed? It’s starting to seem that way…

Last night on The Late Show, host Stephen Colbert spoke on the peculiar relationship between Hannity and U.S. president Donald Trump. Reportedly, the two enjoy speaking to each other before bedtime, and that’s rather amusing for Colbert. Apparently, the two like to gossip about “fake news” and which shows suck — causing Colbert to cross his fingers, hoping desperately the two are talking about him.

Colbert goes on to explain that the president likes these calls because as he doesn’t live with the First Lady, he likes having someone to “decompress” with at the end of the day. If only Melania were there with him, Trump could complain about what’s bothering him to her instead. “Today, one of the porn stars I had sex with while you were home with our newborn, didn’t even adhere to the terms of the NDA!” Colbert imagines Trump as saying.

Trump enjoys saying that every news report is fake it it shows him in any kind of unfavorable light. But it’s worth noting that one of the very few news personalities to only have good things to say about Trump is Sean Hannity. And considering they seem to be best buddies, it looks like we now know the reason for that.

If Trump and Hannity are talking regularly, chances are this segment will come up during their next phone call. I can only imagine what that phone call would sound like. As for Colbert, you can catch more of him on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert when it airs weeknights at 11:35 p.m. EST on ABC.
