Sean Hannity of Fox News has been defending Donald Trump’s lawyer Michael Cohen on TV, but Stephen Colbert reveals Hannity himself is Cohen’s secret client.

Now that’s certainly something you could call a conflict of interest!

One of the biggest supporters of President Donald Trump would be Fox News personality Sean Hannity. On his show, Hannity is always defending not only the president ,but his lawyer Michael Cohen. Recently, Cohen was the subject of an FBI raid looking into the lawyer’s payment made to adult film star Stormy Daniels over an alleged affair with Trump. But every step of the way, Hannity has been relentlessly defending Cohen.

Well, as Stephen Colbert points out on last night’s Late Show, there’s a reason for that. It was revealed that an anonymous client of Cohen’s was revealed to be none other than Hannity himself. This is a detail Hannity never mentioned on his program, but it does show why he’d have a certain bias in trying to prop up Cohen.

“How did Fox News let him go on the air with this massive conflict of interest? Did he not tell them, or did he tell them, and they just ignored it?” Colbert asks. He adds, “I’m going to go with the first one, because I know Sean Hannity, and delivering factual information is not his strong suit.”
