Donald Trump finally breaks silence on Stormy Daniels, Seth Meyers responds

Donald Trump has been quiet about his alleged affair with Stormy Daniels until recently, and Seth Meyers is weighing on on the president’s response.
The president his finally spoken up about the affair allegations from porn star Stormy Daniels, but perhaps he’d have been better off keeping his mouth shut!
Last night on Late Night, host Seth Meyers focused on the president’s latest missteps for the newest “A Closer Look” segment. First, Meyers takes aim at the investigation into the Trump’s campaign’s ties to Russia. Though Robert Mueller is now saying isn’t the “target” of a criminal investigation, Meyers explains that it’s very easy for him to still be charged if something is uncovered as the investigation continues.
It leads Meyers to talking about another scandal involving the president, which is the alleged affair with Daniels. As we all know, Trump’s lawyer paid out $130,000 to Daniels to forbid her from speaking about a sexual encounter she claims happened with the president. And although Trump likes to tweet about everything, he has been strangely quiet about Daniels, until he finally broke his silence recently.
As Meyers reveals, Trump was questioned about the hush money at an Air Force Q and A. Curiously, Trump insists that he didn’t know about the payment, and that his lawyer must have did it completely on his own. Of course, by speaking about the story, it might mean that Trump himself invalidated the non-disclosure agreement! That would mean that Daniels would then be free to say whatever she pleases about what happened without fear of legal repercussions.
