John Oliver is BACK in all new Season 5 trailer for Last Week Tonight

Emmy winning funnyman John Oliver is preparing for his return to late night television with the all new official trailer for Last Week Tonight, Season 5.

The moment every Last Week Tonight fan has been waiting for is almost here!

Last year, John Oliver had a tremendous season with his HBO series, culminating in prestigious Emmy wins and an epic fourth season finale. So hot he is on this show that the network has even renewed Last Week Tonight through 2020, guaranteeing several more years of Oliver. For at least the entire duration of Donald Trump’s first term, we’re going to have Oliver with us each step of the way.

Ahead of the next season, HBO has released an official teaser trailer for the new episodes. It depicts Oliver trying to keep up with the news, only to be baffled by all of the shocking “non-news” stories that turn up along the way. This includes Trump losing in a Twitter battle with the musician Jewel.

There’s a reason why Oliver has such a following and HBO wants him to stick around for a while. Each episode of this show is hard-hitting, hilarious, and spot-on. In some ways, having Oliver weigh in on some of the big issues is therapeutic for the people worried about them. Welcome back John!
