Several women accusing Dustin Hoffman of sexual misconduct have come together to praise John Oliver for confronting the actor about the allegations.

When Dustin Hoffman became another Hollywood name to have sexual misconduct allegations thrown his way, John Oliver wasn’t staying silent… and he’s now being praised by Hoffman’s accusers!

Recently, seven women accusing Hoffman of sexual misconduct have come together to write a joint letter. They’re thanking Oliver personally for taking Hoffman head on in a panel discussion earlier this month, bringing up the allegations. Though ultimately the response could have been better, the women are still clearly very grateful for Oliver putting the pressure on.

From the letter, courtesy of Entertainment Weekly:

"“While the questions you asked may not have led to the constructive conversation you hoped for, the fact that you asked them at all is what matters most. Many men listen to and believe women when we recount our experiences of sexual harassment and assault. But few men put themselves at risk — socially or professionally — to have uncomfortable conversations with other men. Women can continue to tell our stories, but ultimately, change will depend on men reflecting on their own behavior and challenging other men to do the same.”"
