In a new teaser trailer for the 2018 Oscars, Jimmy Kimmel makes two specific Christmas wishes… and ends up having both of them granted!

Jimmy Kimmel only wanted two things this year for Christmas… and it looks like he’s getting both of them!

Let’s explain. In a few months, Kimmel will be hosting the Oscars for the second consecutive year. It’s led to an all new teaser for the event, in which Kimmel asks viewers for things for Christmas. For one, he wants those watching to remember to tune in on March 4, 2018, to catch next year’s Oscars live on television!

But the funnyman wasn’t quite done there. He adds that he also wants a jetpack, because, welll, why not? Kimmel is reaching for the stars, and now it looks like he will actually get there literally, because the end of the ad shows Kimmel trying out his new jetpack. “Thanks mom,” Kimmel says to the camera just before shooting off into the sky. Wherever he’s going, hopefully he makes it back before the Oscars!

You can watch the new ad in the YouTube video below.

Kimmel did fantastic last year hosting the Oscars. There’s no doubt that he’s going to do just as swell in 2018, so if you cannot watch it live, be sure to set up those DVRs to record!
