Netflix renews The Punisher solo series for second season

The Punisher with Jon Bernthal will be coming back with more episodes to Netflix as the streaming giant has officially announced its renewal for Season 2.

Did you enjoy Marvel’s newest original series on Netflix, with Jon Bernthal starring in The Punisher? Then we have some excellent news to pass along to you!

Over at Deadline, the news has broken that Netflix has renewed the hit series for a second season. Given how well received it was with both fans and critics, it’s not exactly the most surprising news. But nothing is guaranteed, so now fans of the new show can be happy knowing that we are definitely getting more episodes for a second season.

Season 1 of the show is still fairly new, having just hit Netflix barely a month ago. It was apparent to Netflix right away that they had something hot here, the same way they did with the other Marvel shows (albeit maybe not as much with Iron Fist). Bernthal has just been absolutely amazing on the series and deserves to keep his role going in more episodes of the show.

Of course, Bernthal will be coming back, but it’s also confirmed that Deborah Ann Woll is coming back to reprise the role of Karen Page as well. We don’t know too much else at this time.
