Saturday Night Live recently took its holiday winter break with its Kevin Hart hosted episode, and Sam Rockwell will be hosting when the show returns.

SNL is officially on break… but we have the scoop on when it’s coming back!

Last night, Kevin Hart hosted in what was his third time serving as the guest host for the series. During the show, it was announced that SNL would be going on hiatus until January 13, 2018, when new episodes would resume on NBC. And, of course, the guest host and celebrity guest were also announced.

The always amazing Sam Rockwell was announced as the guest host for the new episode, in what will be his very first time hosting. Rockwell has all kinds of acting roles under his belt, including starring roles in films like Matchstick Men, Confessions of a Dangerous Mind, and Mr. Right. Rockwell also provides voices in the acclaimed and hilarious Netflix original animated show F is for Family, so he’s no stranger to being hilarious. That ought to shine through when he appears on SNL so let’s give him a fair chance to impress us.

Also coming on to appear as the musical guest is the singer Halsey. One of the hottest rising new artists, Halsey says it’s a dream come true to appear as the musical guest on SNL. Those unfamiliar with the singer will get a chance to hear her voice once the comedy show resumes.
