Is Last Week Tonight with John Oliver on tonight, December 10th?

Will there be an all new episode tonight on HBO of the Emmy winning series Last Week Tonight with John Oliver? We have all of the info right here.

Typically, our Sunday nights a a great time to kick off the end of the weekend with some biting commentary from the Emmy winning comedian John Oliver. So can we expect a new episode of Last Week Tonight with John Oliver premiering tonight on HBO?

Unfortunately, the answer to that question is no. Oliver has already wrapped up his fourth season of the series, with the season finale airing a few weeks back. Season 5 won’t be premiering until 2018, so we will have a little while to wait before we have the new episodes of the show resuming.

The silver lining is the knowledge that not only will Oliver be back in 2018, he will be here to stay for years to come. HBO has given the show a renewal through 2020, which of course means that we are guaranteed new episodes of the series throughout the first (and hopefully last) term of Donald Trump. And just to give us a preview of how much Oliver is going to monitor Trump during these next few years, here’s a scathing take down of the president Oliver aired on the show’s season finale.

We can only assume that as soon as Oliver comes back, he’s going to pick up right where he left off.
