Donald Trump is Scrooge in Saturday Night Live cold open

In the “White House Christmas” cold open segment for last night’s Saturday Night Live, Donald Trump is visited by some rather familiar spirits.

What do you get when you bring Alec Baldwin onto Saturday Night Live during the Christmas season? A hilarious holiday parody featuring President Donald Trump!

In the cold open for last night’s new episode of SNL, Baldwin reprised his Emmy winning role as the president for a new bit. Inspired by the classic holiday story about Ebeneezer Scrooge, Donald Trump is visited by several spirits with familiar faces. But will they help him actually see the errors of his ways?

First, Trump is visited by Michael Flynn, the “Ghost of Witness Flips”. Flynn warns Trump that it’s time to come clean about his misgivings, and to help convince him, Flynn has brought along three spirits. And they’re going to take turns trying to get through to the president.

Billy Bush then appears in a cloud of smoke to remind Trump about the Access Hollywood bus tape, lamenting how he got fired just for listening to Trump. Then who else but a shirtless Vladimir Putin shows up, complaining about how he’s put so much effort and money into getting Trump elected, and now he’s about to mess it all up. Finally, Trumps biggest nemesis Hillary Clinton appears, telling the president she’s given her “sexual gratification” in the form of his demise.
