Evan Rachel Wood, one of the stars of HBO’s Westworld, has confirmed that the acclaimed and popular TV show will return in the spring of 2018.
It now looks like we will be returning to Westworld a little sooner than we thought!
Courtesy of ScreenRant, we have learned that Season 2 of the amazing and unique series will be arriving in the spring of next year. Evan Rachel Wood, who plays Dolores on the show, has taken to Twitter to confirm the tentative release for the show’s second season. Responding to a fan directly, Wood says “Spring 2018” in a tweet to address when the series will come back to HBO.
I was expecting the series to come back later on in 2018, given the amount of effort that goes into making such an extravagant series. Summer of 2018 was the earliest I was guessing. It’s a nice surprise to see that they’re on track to get the new episodes here sooner than that, with a spring release target. After re-watching the first season again recently I’m more pumped than ever to return to Westworld, so I say that the spring can’t get here soon enough.
Typically, Game of Thrones airs on HBO in the spring. It’s looking like that show’s final season will instead arrive in the summer of 2018, positioning Westworld as the network’s new flagship series.
