Seth Meyers presents: The Trump Family’s First Thanksgiving
By Jeremy Dick
Because of the Thanksgiving holiday, Late Night with Seth Meyers aired a segment with a faux children’s book by Donald Trump Jr. about the 1st Thanksgiving.
Can you imagine a children’s book written by Donald Trump Jr. of a bogus recollection of how the Trump family discovered Thanksgiving? It’s not so hard to envision, right? Seth Meyers thought the same thing.
On Late Night with Seth Meyers, an animated segment was aired featuring this very concept. A book called The Trump Family’s First Thanksgiving by Donald Trump Jr. is shown, and as you can expect, it takes jab after jab at the Trump family. But it’s oh so hilarious.
The story starts off by explaining how the Pilgrims, led by Donald Trump himself, came to the country so many years ago. And as the book claims, back then, immigrants were good, because “they were us.” The story adds that they encountered Indians there, who SJW’s might try to convince us that they’re actually called Native Americans — but that’s all just “fake news.”
Of course, the rest of the book plays out just like that. It’s full of shots at the president and his dopey sons, and the funny part is, it doesn’t seem entirely unlikely that Trump Jr. would be capable of writing such a story.
