Is Last Week Tonight with John Oliver on tonight, October 22nd?

It’s Sunday today, and that means that, hopefully, there will be a new episode of Last Week Tonight with John Oliver. Is there? We have all the details.

This past Friday night, Bill Maher took the night off from his HBO program Real Time. That being said, many fans are wondering if John Oliver will be taking the night off as well from his own series on the network, Last Week Tonight. Well, you’re here to find out what’s going on with that, so let’s go ahead and get right to it!

Bad news, folks. NO, Oliver isn’t back on TV tonight. No, the fourth season of his Emmy winning series has not concluded just yet, so there’s a little bit more of Oliver left to come this year. But for tonight, the funnyman is taking the night off, meaning there won’t be a new episode of the show tonight airing unfortunately.

The show will be back next week on Oct. 29, so be sure to tune in then so as not to miss it. But of course, tonight will surely be just a little less funny without Oliver on the TV screen. There’s no new episode of Last Week Tonight on tonight, but hey, maybe you can be satisfied with the Season 8 opener of The Walking Dead instead?

So while we don’t have Oliver on tonight, take comfort in knowing we still have a few episodes of the season left to go. Next week will have a new show, but then we only have two more left which will premiere in November. But don’t fret. Oliver has been renewed until at least 2020, so he’s not going anywhere for a while.
