On Game of Thrones, Lena Headey plays one of the most powerful people in Westeros. But in real life, she felt “powerless” after an encounter with Weinstein.

The number of women now coming forward against the fallen Harvey Weinstein only continues to get bigger and bigger. Now, we can add another one of TV’s biggest stars into the mix.

On her personal Twitter account, Game of Thrones actress Lena Headey opened up to her fans on her experiences dealing with Weinstein. According to the actress, she can recall two very unsettling instances of being around Weinstein alone.

Describing an incident that allegedly occurred at the Venice Film Festival, here’s Headey’s take on what happened upon first meeting Harvey:

"“At one point Harvey asked me to take a walk down to the water, I walked down with him and he stopped and made some suggestive comment, a gesture, I just laughed it off, I was genuinely shocked. I remember thinking, it’s got to be a joke, I said something like.. ‘Oh come on mate?!?? It’d be like kissing my dad!! Let’s go get a drink, get back to the others.’ I was never in any other Miramax film.”"

Years after this rejection, Weinstein apparently thought he’d try things with Headey again. He invited her up to his hotel room under the guise of showing her a script. In the elevator, the alarm bells started ringing in Headey’s head, and she was quick to make things clear with Harvey before winding up alone with him in his room:

"“We walked to the lift and the energy shifted, my whole body went into high alert, the lift was going up and I said to Harvey, ‘I’m not interested in anything other than work, please don’t think I got in here with you for any other reason, nothing is going to happen.’ I don’t know what possessed me to speak out at that moment, only that I had such a strong sense of don’t come near me.”"

It’s hard not to really feel for Headey when reading her story. You can read the entire tale over on her Twitter account, but be forewarned, it’s disturbing and really saddening.

After this second rejection, Harvey apparently got angry with Headey, demanding that she never tell anyone about what just happened. The actress described feeling “completely powerless” at the time, crying in her car and then keeping the secret for years. Perhaps she can take a little solace in seeing Weinstein’s fall from grace.
