Is Real Time with Bill Maher on tonight, October 13th, 2017?

It’s Friday the 13th in October of 2017, and fans of Bill Maher are asking if there is going to be an all new episode of Real Time on HBO tonight.

If you’re looking at this text, chances are you are one of the aforementioned fans of Bill Maher. And though it’s Friday the 13th, leaving many horror fans to binge watch Jason movies all evening, if you’re a Maher fan you’re still hoping Real Time will be on as well. So… will it?

Unfortunately, the answer is NO. Though Maher still has a few shows left to go before the end of Season 15, he will be taking a hiatus tonight. The show will then return at the normal time next week on Oct. 20. Then the season finale will come a week later on Oct. 27.

Yeah, you read that right. The season finale is coming up fast. Not only do we have to go without Maher tonight, then we will only have two episodes left before his  much longer break. The good news is that HBO has renewed the show into 2020, so there’s plenty of Maher material we can expect to look forward to in the future.

Maher’s colleague on HBO John Oliver also had his program Last Week Tonight renewed through 2020 as well. Smart move considering the show killed it at the 2017 Primetime Emmy Awards. Having Oliver and Maher on the same network has turned HBO into a must-have service for so many of us (including myself).
